Meet your Therapists

Ruth Pal-Freeman graduated with honors from Western Career College with an Associated of Science degree in Massage Therapy and Holistic Medicine.  Since then, she has taken additional training in pre and post-natal massage along with cranial sacral massage.  For the past four years she has worked at a day spa and a chiropractic office.  She has worked with many athletes in both locations and she looks forward to helping the employees at NetApp.

Lisa Silvers received full accredited certification in early 2005.  She is certified in a variety of many massage modalities such as, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Sports, Chair, Shiatsu, Pregnancy, and Spa Treatments.   Lisa started Individual Kneads in October 2006, originally located inside Gold’s Gym, and has recently expanded.  She has been a self employed business owner from day one.  She is very intuitive and most  enjoys problem solving with her clients; finding the source of their ailments and working with them to improve range of motion and reduce pain.

Brendan O’Neill is a Certified Massage Therapist and Health Educator. He graduated the National Holistic Institute (NHI) in July of 2007.  Brendan  began his hands on training at the NHI Teaching Clinic.  He completed his Externship at Salon DeCota, in San Rafael, performing Chair Massage with the application of Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Therapies and Range of Motion assessment. The remainder of his Externship for NHI continued on at Destino Spa, in Palo Alto.  He continues to work at Destino Spa performing Warm Stone treatments, Scrubs and Wraps as well as Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage. He is excited about his new venture with Individual Kneads, at NetApp, tailoring Swedish and  Deep Tissue Massage to create customer satisfaction.  Brendan has worked in the Health and Fitness Industry, managing Gold’s Gym, for 8 years prior to pursuing Massage Therapy.  He enjoys cooking, yoga and spending time with friends and family.

Christiann Savage is a nationally certified massage therapist with accreditation from the NCBTMB.  She trained in Baltimore, MD, and holds licenses in the states of California and Maryland.  Christiann is deeply fascinated with human anatony and physiology, and how massage can help relieve pain, increase function, and create lasting change in the body.  Her approach to all modalities of massage is informed by myofascial technique (working with the connective tissues of the body as well as muscles and bones.)  Christiann truly loves her work, and is delighted to be part of the excellent team at Individual Kneads, NetApp.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage relaxes muscles through pressure applied to the muscles and joints with soothing strokes returning blood to the heart.  This increases oxygen flow and releases toxins built up in the muscles.

60 Minutes - $65.00

45 Minutes - $50.00

30 Minutes - $35.00

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage works the deeper muscles to release tension in the body, usually chronic tension.  This is done with slow strokes and concentrated pressure on the tense area to remove toxins and loosen muscles.  Deep tissue massage can result in soreness for a day or two following the massage.

90 Minutes - $100.00

60 Minutes - $70.00
45 Minutes - $55.00
30 Minutes - $40.00

Hot Stone Add-On

Hot Stone Massage uses smooth, heated stones to soothe and relax your muscles.  The stones are usually volcanic because of their ability to absorb heat well.  The therapist may place smaller stones around your body and use larger ones to massage you with.  Add to any Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a unique form of massage.  It is typically done in conjunction with athletic events.  Sports massage prepares an athlete's body for performance by relieving fatigue, reducing swelling in the muscles and joints thereby promoting flexibility and preventing injuries.  Sports massage also helps heal minor injuries that can be caused do to excess activity.  It is performed on a one specific body part for the 20 minute session.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is very gentle and effective and has many benefits for the mother, such as increasing energy, easing aches and pains, slowing the process of varicose veins, reducing fluid retention and releasing stress. Pregnancy massage can also help labour preparation by teaching the mother to consciously release tension and focus on relaxation breathing techniques, as well as releasing tension in the lower back and abdomen.

Chair Massage

Chair massage counters the circulatory problems inherent with office work—and provide a appreciated break for employees. Sitting in a massage chair opens up the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck and provides a gentle respite for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor. 15 minutes of massage to the neck, back, arms and hands can increase circulation, returning energy levels and helping keep the body injury free.  Done fully clothed.

15 Minute - $15.00
